New page

CSH was synthesized in an autoclave. For preparation of CSH, the calcium oxide (99.99% CaO, Aladdin Co. Ltd.) and silicon oxide (99.99% SiO2, Aladdin Co. Ltd) were mixed according to a certain proportion by molar (Ca/Si). The mixture was added to the water with a certain ratio of water-to-solid by mass (w/s), and then incubated at the set temperatures for several hours to manufacture ACSH and CCSH; the hydrothermal synthesis conditions are shown in Table 1 [19]. Samples of each synthesis were dried to constant mass in an oven at 80°C and then milled to less than 45 μm for the adsorption experiments.
ACSH: amorphous calcium silicate hydrate, CSH is used as functional materials generally, especially as an adsorbent due to its high specific surface area and a large number of structural site

A synthetic adsorbent of CCSH (LRA, is highly effective for endotoxin removal from aqueous solutions. http://www.sigmaaldrich.com/technical-documents/articles/analytix/lra-lipid-removal.html,http://www.advancedminerals.com
